Our Commitment

At The Mind-Body Healing Project, we believe that everyone should have access to practical, evidence-informed tools that support their health and wellbeing.

We are committed to combining compassion with scientific curiosity, ensuring that the programmes we deliver are both accessible and grounded in robust evaluation. While many people report positive experiences from mind-body approaches such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), we recognise the importance of continuing to build the evidence base and understanding where, when and for whom these approaches are most effective.

An evidence-led approach

Our work is guided by a simple principle: promising approaches deserve careful evaluation.

Where appropriate, we design our programmes so that we can learn from participants' experiences through surveys, outcome measures and feedback. This helps us understand the impact of our work, improve future programmes and contribute to wider knowledge about effective wellbeing interventions.

As our organisation grows, we aim to collaborate with healthcare providers, universities, researchers and community organisations to strengthen the quality of evidence supporting accessible mind-body approaches.

Working alongside healthcare

Our programmes are designed to complement, not replace, professional healthcare.

We encourage participants to continue following advice from their GP, specialist, therapist or other healthcare professionals. Our workshops and resources are intended to provide practical self-management techniques that people can use alongside existing care or as part of their everyday wellbeing.

We do not advise anyone to stop medication or discontinue treatment without consulting the appropriate healthcare professional.

Participant safety

The wellbeing and safety of our participants is central to everything we do. We are committed to:

  • providing clear information about our programmes

  • encouraging informed choice and voluntary participation

  • respecting individual circumstances and personal boundaries

  • signposting participants to appropriate services where additional support may be needed

  • continually reviewing participant feedback to improve programme quality and safety.

Research with integrity

Where programmes include research or evaluation, we are committed to conducting this work responsibly and transparently.

Participants will always receive clear information about what taking part involves. Where consent is required, it will be obtained before any research activities begin. Personal information will be handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

Whenever possible, research findings will be shared in an anonymised or aggregated form so that individual participants cannot be identified.

Continuous learning

Healthcare and wellbeing are constantly evolving. We are committed to learning from emerging research, listening to participants and working with experts across different disciplines to ensure our programmes continue to develop in line with evidence and best practice.

We welcome constructive challenge, collaboration and independent evaluation as essential parts of building a stronger understanding of what works.

Looking ahead

Our long-term vision is to help build a future in which accessible, evidence-informed mind-body approaches sit alongside conventional healthcare, giving people more options to support their wellbeing and empowering them to play an active role in their own health.

By combining lived experience, scientific evaluation and meaningful collaboration, we hope to contribute to a healthcare system that is more preventative, more person-centred and more sustainable for the future.
