Practical self-management tools for better health and wellbeing
Stress, anxiety and emotional distress affect millions of people every day. Yet many struggle to access timely support or are left waiting for help while their difficulties continue to grow.
The Mind-Body Healing Project is a UK charity making evidence-informed mind-body techniques accessible to everyone. Working with communities, charities and NHS partners, we develop practical programmes that empower people to manage stress, build resilience and improve emotional wellbeing by teaching simple self-management techniques they can use independently whenever they need them. Alongside programme delivery, we evaluate outcomes to strengthen the evidence base, helping effective self-management approaches reach more people.
Our first programme focuses on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping – a simple, highly effective mind-body technique that combines gentle tapping on acupuncture points with cognitive approaches to help calm the nervous system. It can be learned quickly, practised independently and used whenever it is needed.
Everyone should have access to practical, evidence-informed tools that help them manage life's challenges before they become overwhelming — regardless of their circumstances or ability to pay.
