The Mind-Body Healing Project - EFT Programme

These Terms & Conditions apply to your participation in The Mind-Body Healing Project's EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as "tapping") programme. By registering for and participating in the programme, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

1. About the programme

The Mind-Body Healing Project provides educational workshops and resources designed to introduce participants to EFT as a self-help technique that may support general wellbeing, stress management and self-management. The programme is provided free of charge and is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Participation is voluntary. You may choose not to take part in an exercise, take a break or leave a session at any time.

2. Educational and wellbeing purpose

The programme is educational in nature and is not medical, psychological, psychiatric or other healthcare treatment or advice.

EFT is a complementary mind-body and self-help practice. The programme is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for appropriate professional healthcare. Participating in the programme does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client or practitioner-client relationship between you and The Mind-Body Healing Project, its presenters, staff, volunteers or advisers.

You should continue with any healthcare or treatment recommended by your healthcare professionals and should not make changes to medication or treatment based on information provided through this programme.

3. Looking after yourself

EFT can involve focusing on thoughts, feelings, physical sensations or experiences. This can sometimes bring up uncomfortable emotions or sensations.

During the workshops, we will encourage you to work only with issues that feel manageable and appropriate for self-help. You should not use workshop exercises to work independently on trauma or anything that causes significant distress. You are always free to stop an exercise or choose not to participate. If you experience significant or persistent distress, or have concerns about your physical or mental health, please stop and seek appropriate professional support.

The programme is not an emergency or crisis service. If you require urgent medical or mental health support, please contact the appropriate NHS or emergency service.

4. Individual results

People's experiences of EFT vary. We cannot guarantee that participation in the programme will result in any particular improvement or outcome.

Any research findings, case examples or testimonials shared during the programme are provided for information only. Testimonials describe individual experiences and should not be taken as a prediction or guarantee of what you will experience.

5. Programme materials

Workshop slides, handouts, scripts and other materials created by The Mind-Body Healing Project are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Unless we have given permission, please do not reproduce, publish, sell, distribute or use these materials to deliver workshops or other services.

Some resources made available through the programme are produced by third parties. These remain subject to the relevant third party's own terms and conditions.

6. The Tapping Solution App and other third-party resources

As part of the programme, you may be offered access to resources provided by third parties, including The Tapping Solution App.

Your use of those services is governed by the relevant provider's own terms and privacy arrangements. The Mind-Body Healing Project does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability or content.

You are free to decide whether or not to use any optional third-party resource.

7. Online workshops and other participants

Our workshops are delivered online. We ask everyone taking part to treat other participants respectfully and to respect their privacy. Please do not record, photograph, screenshot or create your own transcript of a workshop, or share personal information disclosed by another participant, without their permission.

We reserve the right to remove someone from a workshop where their behaviour is disruptive, inappropriate or compromises the safety or privacy of other participants.

8. Your information

We collect and use personal information in order to administer the programme and evaluate how well it is working. Further information about what we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored and used, and your data protection rights is provided in our Privacy Notice.

Participation in programme evaluation and follow-up is voluntary, and you can choose whether or not to take part.

9. Responsibility and liability

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use the self-help techniques introduced through the programme and for seeking appropriate professional advice where needed. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any responsibility or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

10. Changes to or withdrawal from the programme

We may occasionally need to change workshop dates, presenters, programme content or delivery arrangements, or cancel a session because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.

You may withdraw from the programme at any time. There is no charge for participating and no financial penalty for withdrawing.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
